Non-inductive ceramic carbon linear resistor High voltage, non-inductive, ceramic linear resistors are made from a mixture of clay, alumina and carbon. Aluminum, copper and nickel are usually used as electrodes to provide reliable electrical contact, and side coatings are used to improve dielectric withstand voltage. Linear ceramic resistors have a wide resistivity range and can be made into a variety of geometric shapes, with a maximum diameter of 152mm, high mechanical strength, compression resistance, and the ability to absorb mechanical shock. Body-shaped resistors, therefore the smallest size.
